East Meadow School Open House

Today is a multiple post kind of day. I broke them up into different post since they are all picture heavy. Also back in April, East Meadow School had it's Open House, which ends up being a mini art show for me.

Here's some close-ups of the work on display.

The 4th graders, spent a lot of time and effort making their papier-mache puppets. They were instructed to come up with a puppet that was an original character.

The 5th graders didn't get their Chuck Close Inspired Self-Portraits done in time, so those photos will be in another post.

The 6th graders created low reliefs with common objects. They drew lines with yarn on a 6"x6" piece of cardboard and then glued tin foil on top. Once the foil was glued down, they picked three different colors of Sharpie markers to color in the spaces between the raised lines.
